DJ Safety (FKA Abi) is a self proclaimed bedroom dj at large. Shifting between bass, club, dub, percs and jungle, she has quickly made a name for herself in the Sydney scene, despite only playing her first club gigs at the end of 2018. Perpetually fascinated by the nexus of politics and dance music, her sets draw inspiration from the rich history of dance music, as well as her own desire to forefront marginalized folk, both in dance spaces, and on the production end.

DJ Safety

Isa is an Eora-based DJ, radio host, and mum of Athletica, weaving hyperdrive sets that are as frenetic as they are fun. Her high energy style has landed her slots on Triple J and London’s Reprezent Radio, supporting Nina Las Vegas, and Kllo, and mainstay status in the Eora club scene.

Ayebatonye is a Sydney based DJ/event producer/writer/podcast host and community organiser working her way to a more inclusive cultural landscape in Sydney and beyond.


Venus is a Sydney based DJ, writer and true Libra. She’s trying to figure out how to properly define “club music”, and if she ever gets there she’ll let you know. Loves a solid drum pattern and some gloopy sound design, and is super passionate about the international community of music loving weirdos online, in clubs and on the radio.

Safety First is a deep dive into the nexus of politics and dance music. The relationship between these things has always been important (specifically regarding the fact that dance music itself comes from marginalized communities) and is often lost in the mainstream cultural disdain for dance and drug culture. Safety First seeks to explore club culture, from the music to the politics, and everything in between.

Jun Wan has been around the block a few times. For the past 10 years he’s been playing shows and running parties featuring likes of The Hacker, Jensen Interceptor, CC:DISCO, Andy Garvey, Fishing, Roland Tings, Luke Million, Kato, Folamour, and Motorik Vibe Council - many in conjunction with Palace, of which he is one half. His style traverses the terrain between genres and decades presenting a fusion of his influences acquired through his years of dedication to the world of electronic music.
