akka is the pseudonym of multidisciplinary creative and facilitator Shareeka Helaluddin. She intuitively fuses highly percussive beats, noisy club, distinctly subcontinental rhythms interwoven with found-sounds and recordings. She finds solace and intrigue in drone and dissonance, and uses djing as a means to explore and deconstruct dance music and its traditions, inspiring fierce movement abridged by moments of reflection. She is also a part of Third Space, a newly formed club night  / sonic disruption  that seeks to hold space for artists to expand and challenge their creative capacities alongside their social consciousness.

Abraham Araujo share duties regularly behind Bestialo Culapsus: Artifacts & Amusement, a hybrid platform that works from Caracas, Venezuela since 2008. Here you will see ties between printed matter, cult film screenings, art exhibitions and parties happening usually in unused and unusual spaces.

Caitlin’s DJ sets & production are defined by pace & bass. She’s toured the country twice with Purple Sneakers DJs, supported the likes of Octave One & Paul Woolford, & in 2021, made her Boiler Room debut. She began her radio stint at FBi Radio at 18, where she remained on air for seven years.

Casey is a Sydney born DJ. She has been on air at FBi Radio and Bondi Beach Radio since 2016, cementing her sound as well as finding the joy that lies in curating those two magical hours – hoping to bring some love and laughs along the way. 

Casey’s sound is also shown through the live events she organises as part of Sittin’ Pretty (Sound Garden, Simmer Down, Waterloo Community Garden Day) which is heavily community based.

DJ Atro's sound traverses the spectrum of bass music, club music and rap. He’s been playing across Sydney for 4 years and has opened for internationals including Lotic, Boylan, and Logan Sama. He’s also the producer half of left-field rap duo Slim Set, who host Wednesday Sunsets on FBi Radio and run a party called P2P.


Daisy Catterall, a takatapui Ngati Maniapoto woman living and working on Gadigal land, DJs under the moniker DJ DEE LUSCIOUS. Her DJ practice wants empowerment for queers and people of colour.

Jessica Paraha is a ngati hine māori woman born and raised on the ancient lands of the Eora nation. She is working towards an inclusive practice encouraging authenticity and strength from her QTPOC community.

DJ Mistry is an Indian born, Eora local. He is always mesmerised by the multitude of ways in which artists all throughout history produce rhythm and convey familiar emotions. He derives his modus operandi from this appreciation, to make people dance and feel in as many ways as possible with music.

DJ Paramat is a record slinga and co-founder of General Merchant (Eora based record label) with an affinity towards bass, breax n tekno, although his interests don't end there. The generalist has also been known to dabble in a variety of experimental sounds.

DJ Safety (FKA Abi) is a self proclaimed bedroom dj at large. Shifting between bass, club, dub, percs and jungle, she has quickly made a name for herself in the Sydney scene, despite only playing her first club gigs at the end of 2018. Perpetually fascinated by the nexus of politics and dance music, her sets draw inspiration from the rich history of dance music, as well as her own desire to forefront marginalized folk, both in dance spaces, and on the production end.

A former member of countless punk and hardcore projects, George Michelle uses his DIY ethos to create anthemic, melody-driven dance numbers by any means necessary - opting for collaborations with lesser-heard voices in music. 


During an age ruled by the archetypal white-male-minimalist DJ, George Michelle offers himself as a weaponised subversion. Less with tasteless mockery, and more with the comic relief that sees him occupy a space many of us have become numb to. He borrows from the overzealous, hyper-stylised mould we’ve seen inundated with Soundcloud rappers, and applies it instead to the worlds of popular house and EDM, with counter-cultural undertones and a disruptive agenda.

Glen S is a lover of any music that makes you feel good from the inside out. Undeterred by genre, Glen spins anything from old school trance to DnB, new age chuggy techno to Donk and Memecore. Expect the unexpected and be prepared to share a laugh.

To her, dance music is about sharing and celebrating diversity of all sorts. Her love lies deep in techno, jungle, trance, and experimental sound.

Isa is an Eora-based DJ, radio host, and mum of Athletica, weaving hyperdrive sets that are as frenetic as they are fun. Her high energy style has landed her slots on Triple J and London’s Reprezent Radio, supporting Nina Las Vegas, and Kllo, and mainstay status in the Eora club scene.

Ivy is a Sydney based DJ who won't be limited by genre bounds, but has an affinity for the darker side of dance music. As co-founder of Headroom and part of the Nectar crew, she's looking to explore all that music has to offer. 

Marching to the sounds of broken and 4/4 drums alike, this Aussie-born Turk is glad to open his record bag and slap on the wax strips to showcase some of his favourite UK selections. Lather it on and rip it right off again - just make sure to keep it in time.

Jun Wan has been around the block a few times. For the past 10 years he’s been playing shows and running parties featuring likes of The Hacker, Jensen Interceptor, CC:DISCO, Andy Garvey, Fishing, Roland Tings, Luke Million, Kato, Folamour, and Motorik Vibe Council - many in conjunction with Palace, of which he is one half. His style traverses the terrain between genres and decades presenting a fusion of his influences acquired through his years of dedication to the world of electronic music.

iota is the anonymous project of another member of Melbourne’s dance music community. Focusing on the minimalistic shades of electronic music, iota seeks to create the most with the least possible.

His music is rich with animation, melody and memory. It’s grounded in tradition, but with eyes fixed on the horizon, constantly innovating and pushing boundaries.

Merph's taste and selections span across many genres, fueled by her love for research and exploration. Spring-boarding from her foundations in left-field house and jazz, she has recently hit her stride extending her reach to all things Jungle. This step has found Merph effortlessly translating her signature emotive style towards the flutter of high-intensity motion. 

Alongside DJing, you'll find Merph running her event and workshop series Apparent Motion, working at Sydney's Network Connection Records, producing Limbs Akimbo on FBi Radio, and completing her PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Human-Robot Interaction.

Beyond DJing he also produces events for Heaps Gay, FBi Radio and the sustainable eco party Hiccup.

msh is an interdisciplinary artist born on muwinina land in nipaluna/Hobart, currently living and working on Gadigal land in Sydney. Their DJing blends elements of global club cultures, UK rave traditions, and post-internet sounds. Despite the emergent nature of their practice, they have already DJed for the likes of Hazey Daze, VICE, Body Promise x DUNJ, Purple Sneakers, FASTER, Pink Noise, Freda’s, and Yours & Owls, and look forward to growing, learning and playing as a DJ far into the future.


PAIRED is a show based on connecting members of the creative community in Sydney and throughout Australia bridging sounds from across the diaspora and music that is culturally significant to them. We will have a mix from myself each month, accompanied by a guest mix from a DJ from around the world or Australia and then have a segment with a guest/friend where we show each other music and talk about how they are significant to us!

Nando Nandez (Nadia Hernández) is a visual artist whose practice is informed specifically by the current political climate of her home country and her diasporic experience as a Venezuelan woman living abroad. 


Articulated through textiles, paper constructions, painting, sound, music, installation and sculpture, her identity encourages her to create work that negotiates complex political narratives through the personal, the institutional and their intersections.


Moving toward the airwaves, Nadia’s latest project connects music, artists, stories and perspectives originating from Venezuela with the world through a collaborative artwork/radio program called Ritmo Tuqueque.

Ræchy is the expressive multifaceted alias of the enigmatic Donna, who expresses herself through music, dance and the visual arts. Raised by a Ghanaian mother and Australian father, she has been deeply exposed to both cultures growing up.
